DIY Vertical Garden Tutorials - Part 1
Introduction
Welcome to Part 1 of our DIY vertical garden tutorials! Vertical gardens are a fantastic way to bring greenery into small spaces, add visual interest to your home, and even grow your own herbs or vegetables. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps of creating your very own vertical garden.
Materials Needed
- Wooden pallet
- Landscape fabric
- Staple gun
- Soil
- Plants of your choice
- Hammer and nails
- Watering can
Step 1: Prepare the Pallet
Start by laying the pallet flat on the ground with the side you want to use as the front facing up. If the pallet has any loose boards, secure them with nails and hammer.
Step 2: Attach Landscape Fabric
Cut a piece of landscape fabric to fit the back and sides of the pallet. Use a staple gun to attach the fabric to the pallet, creating pockets for the soil to go into.
Step 3: Add Soil and Plants
Fill each pocket with soil, leaving enough room for the roots of your plants. Plant your chosen greenery into the pockets, ensuring they are secure and have enough soil to grow.
Step 4: Water and Display
Water your vertical garden thoroughly, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged. Once watered, you can now display your vertical garden in your desired location.
